Take the hair assessmentDaeng Gi Meo Ri Shampoo for Oily Scalp is a clarifying herbal shampoo formulated to control excess sebum and keep the scalp fresh for longer. It contains a high concentration of medicinal herbs such as ginseng, chrysanthemum, rehmannia, and green tea that help purify and balance the scalp. Natural cooling agents like menthol and refreshing herbal extracts soothe irritation, while hydrolyzed proteins and botanical oils condition the hair to prevent dryness or brittleness after cleansing. The formula works to restore scalp balance, leaving hair light, clean, and healthy-looking.
Written from the ingredient list. Where it describes how a formula behaves, that is inferred from what the ingredients are and where they sit in the list, not measured.
Shampoo For Oily Scalp is a shampoo from Daeng Gi Meo Ri, aimed at fine hair, straight hair and wavy hair. On the evidence of its ingredient list, the formula works on oil control, build-up avoidance and moisture. The ingredients doing most of that work are Ammonium Laureth Sulfate, Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate and Polyquaternium-7. The list runs to 34 ingredients, 10 of which carry a role we recognise for hair.
It cleanses with Ammonium Laureth Sulfate and Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate, a sulfate detergent — effective on oil and product, and the thing people move away from when colour fades fast or the lengths feel stripped. It is buffered with Cocamidopropyl Betaine, which softens that considerably.
The formula reads as lightweight: humectants lead and there is little in the way of heavy oil or silicone, so it should not weigh fine hair down. It contains Dimethicone. Silicones smooth the cuticle and cut frizz on contact; they are also what a clarifying wash is for, because they do not rinse out with a mild shampoo. The formula leans to moisture rather than protein.
For the scalp itself the formula carries Menthol and Panthenol. A sensitive or easily irritated scalp may want something milder — the detergent here is the strong kind.
It is the first step of a wash: it goes on wet hair before anything else. Wet hair and scalp thoroughly. Apply a moderate amount of shampoo and gently massage it into the scalp to create a rich lather. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. Repeat if necessary for deeper cleansing.
Nothing in this formula is aimed at protein & strength, volume / lightweight, curl definition and color protection — not a fault, just the shape of what is in the bottle, and the reason one product rarely covers a whole routine. No ingredient here is one we recognise as supporting hair growth. Reducing breakage and growing hair are different things, and this formula's evidence is for the first.

One ingredient usually does several jobs, so these counts add up to more than the list length.
