Take the hair assessment and I'll rate this product for your hair type.
Take the hair assessmentPomelo essential oil, extracted from the peel, is rich in limonene, which effectively inhibits the 5-alpha reductase enzyme on the scalp—the primary cause of hair loss. Additionally, due to its antibacterial and high antioxidant properties, pomelo essential oil will provide you with a healthy scalp and hair.
Written from the ingredient list. Where it describes how a formula behaves, that is inferred from what the ingredients are and where they sit in the list, not measured.
Grapefruit Conditioner is a conditioner from Cocoon, aimed at wavy hair, curly hair and medium hair. On the evidence of its ingredient list, the formula works on moisture, frizz control and shine. The ingredients doing most of that work are Cetearyl Alcohol, Cetyl Alcohol and Cocos Nucifera Oil. The list runs to 51 ingredients, 19 of which carry a role we recognise for hair.
It is sulfate-free: the cleansing is done by Xylitylglucoside, milder surfactants that leave more of the hair's own oil behind.
By the balance of its ingredients the formula reads as neither especially rich nor especially light. It contains Dimethicone and Amodimethicone. Silicones smooth the cuticle and cut frizz on contact; they are also what a clarifying wash is for, because they do not rinse out with a mild shampoo. The formula leans to moisture rather than protein.
There is a small amount of protein in the list: Arginine.
For the scalp itself the formula carries Panthenol. On an oily scalp the richer ingredients here can read as greasy at the roots.
A few ingredients here stay on the hair between washes (Dimethicone, Amodimethicone and Polyquaternium-10), which is worth knowing if you wash rarely or use a mild shampoo.
It goes on after shampooing, on the lengths rather than the roots. Apply the product to wet hair, massage it gently into your hair, and then rinse thoroughly for beautifully clean hair. Use daily for the best results. Avoid contact with eyes. Amount of usage 2-3 pumps
Nothing in this formula is aimed at protein & strength, oil control, volume / lightweight and color protection — not a fault, just the shape of what is in the bottle, and the reason one product rarely covers a whole routine. No ingredient here is one we recognise as supporting hair growth. Reducing breakage and growing hair are different things, and this formula's evidence is for the first.

One ingredient usually does several jobs, so these counts add up to more than the list length.
