Take the hair assessmentThe KUNDAL Progen Double Bonding Hair Serum is a repairing leave-in serum designed to strengthen weakened hair, reduce breakage, and improve smoothness by helping support the hair’s damaged bonds. Formulated for dry, brittle, or chemically treated hair, this serum delivers intense nourishment while enhancing elasticity and shine for a healthier-looking finish.
Written from the ingredient list. Where it describes how a formula behaves, that is inferred from what the ingredients are and where they sit in the list, not measured.
Progen Double Bonding Hair Serum is a serum from Kundal, aimed at wavy hair, curly hair and medium hair. On the evidence of its ingredient list, the formula works on frizz control, shine and moisture. The ingredients doing most of that work are Dimethicone, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate and Caprylic/capric Triglyceride. The list runs to 56 ingredients, 25 of which carry a role we recognise for hair.
By the balance of its ingredients the formula reads as neither especially rich nor especially light. It contains Dimethicone, Dimethiconol and Trisiloxane. Silicones smooth the cuticle and cut frizz on contact; they are also what a clarifying wash is for, because they do not rinse out with a mild shampoo. The formula leans to moisture rather than protein.
It carries a moderate amount of protein — Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Hydrolyzed SOY Protein, Hydrolyzed Corn Protein and Hydrolyzed Collagen — enough to firm up damaged lengths without dominating the formula.
On an oily scalp the richer ingredients here can read as greasy at the roots.
Several ingredients here stay on the hair between washes — Dimethicone, Dimethiconol and Trisiloxane — so on low-porosity or fine hair this is a formula that will want a clarifying wash from time to time.
It is a treatment step: after shampooing, left on, then rinsed out. Apply 1–2 pumps to towel-dried or dry hair, focusing on mid-lengths to ends. Do not rinse. Style as desired.
Nothing in this formula is aimed at scalp soothing, oil control, volume / lightweight and curl definition — not a fault, just the shape of what is in the bottle, and the reason one product rarely covers a whole routine. No ingredient here is one we recognise as supporting hair growth. Reducing breakage and growing hair are different things, and this formula's evidence is for the first.
