Infused with 3 types of ceramides (AP, NP, EOP) and panthenol, this rich cream hydrates and soothes dry, stressed skin while preventing moisture loss. Its lamella crystal ceramide capsules mimic the skin’s structure, allowing for deep penetration and long-lasting hydration. Despite its luxurious texture, this cream is non-greasy, controls excess oil, and is suitable for acne-prone skin. Enhanced with natural moisturizing factors, amino acids, and soothing complexes, it delivers a soft, resilient, and balanced complexion.

About 3 Ceramide Panthenol Moisture Barrier Cream

Overview

3 Ceramide Panthenol Moisture Barrier Cream is a lightweight cream from Anua, a brand based in Korea. The formula is built mainly around hydration and soothing. The ingredient list runs to 67 ingredients, each broken down in full below.

Texture and finish

By its ingredient list the formula reads as light: water and humectants lead, with emollients kept lower in the order. Silicones in the formula tend to give a smooth, blurred finish and help it grip under makeup. Hydration is handled by Panthenol, Butylene Glycol and Propanediol, humectants that pull water into the upper layers of skin rather than sealing it there.

What the formula does

Hydration: Very high. Ingredients that pull and hold water in the upper layers of skin, and here that comes from Panthenol, Butylene Glycol, Propanediol and Glycerin.

Soothing: High. Ingredients aimed at visible redness and reactivity, and here that comes from Panthenol, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, Centella Asiatica Extract and Allantoin.

Barrier support: Moderate. Lipids and repair signals that support skin barrier integrity, and here that comes from Panthenol, Ceramide 5, Hydrogenated Lecithin and Squalane.

Who it suits

On richness alone it suits Balanced skin best, and is the least natural fit for Dry and Combination (dry) skin. Nothing in the list is flagged as a common irritant, which is a reasonable starting point for reactive skin — though a patch test is still the only way to know.

What it does not target

The formula contributes little or nothing on antioxidant protection, oil control, brightening and tone and cell renewal. That is not a fault — most products are not meant to do everything — but if one of those is your priority, this is not the product that will address it.

What is not in it

Reading the full list, the formula is fragrance-free, essential-oil-free, paraben-free, microplastic-free, sulfate-free and dye-free. Those claims come from the ingredient list itself, not from the packaging. It does contain drying alcohol, worth knowing if your skin reacts to any of them.

Where it fits in a routine

It can be used morning and evening. In a routine it goes after serums. Seal in your serums with it; in the morning, sunscreen still goes on top.

This summary is generated from the product's ingredient list. It is not a review, it is not the brand's own marketing claims, and it does not replace advice from a dermatologist.

Safety and suitability

Flags to check, not verdicts. None of this is medical advice — if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or treating a skin condition, ask a doctor.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Nothing in this formula is on the standard pregnancy-caution list. That is not clearance — ask your doctor about anything you use daily.
Fungal acne (malassezia)
7 ingredients could feed malassezia: Polyglyceryl-3 Diisostearate, Glyceryl Stearate, Glyceryl Caprylate, Polyglyceryl-10 Stearate, Ethylhexyl Olivate, Polyglyceryl-4 Oleate, Polyglyceryl-10 Laurate. That is about the yeast's food supply, not a prediction that you will break out.
Sensitive and reactive skin
No ingredient in this formula carries a common-irritant flag, making it a reasonable option for reactive skin. A patch test is still recommended, as individual skin reactivity varies.

Ceramide 5 (Retired) is the N-acylated sphingolipid having the erythro structure that conforms generally to the formula, where m has a value ranging from 13 to 27 in which the acyl moiety may be saturated or mono-unsatuarated and n has a value ranging from 10 to 16. Ceramide 5 is similar to Ceramide 4, however, the acylating hydroxy acids are generally longer in Ceramide 5 than in Ceramide 4. The INCI Name, Ceramide 5, originally developed in 1997, was designated with a retired status in 2014. For an interim period of time, trade name assignments formerly published with the INCI Name Ceramide 5 will be retained in the retired monograph, and also published with the new name assignment, Ceramide AS.
